Turfgrass inbound internships focus on the environmental, aesthetic, recreational, and economic benefits of turfgrass. Internships usually last 6-12 months.

Interns reconstructing turfgrassInterns working to rebuild greensInterns will assist with general golf course maintenance. Responsibilities will include mowing, fertilizing, aerating, watering, pest management and maintanance of equipment and irrigation systems. Many turfgrass interns enjoy preparing golf courses for the most important tournaments in the US.

The intern will have the opportunity to interact with turfgrass managers and superintendents. They will attend professional development workshops and field days. 

Skills/Experience Required: Experience operating turfgrass maintenance equipment is strongly preferred. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with the public are necessary for this position. Golf courses are open on weekends and you must be available to work weekends as well.
