Our Program organizes insurance coverage through the ACE American Insurance Company, provided by The Harbour Group. You can find out the details of your coverage by checking the terms of ACE's policy. Also, please make sure to open the small brown envelope in your Orientation Packet. The envelope contains very detailed insurance information, your insurance ID card, claim forms and a one page note from Gabriella explaining the way the insurance policy works.
If you have been to a doctor or hospital you must send in a completed claim form to Administrative Concepts, which is a company handling the claims:
Administrative Concepts Inc.
997 Old Eagle School Road
Suite 215
Wayne, PA 19087-1706
The claim form has to be completed once for every new medical problem you have treated while in the US.
If you paid for the treatment already, be sure to indicate that on the form. If the treatment is covered under the policy terms, you will receive the appropriate refunds. Typically this will take about 4-8 weeks from the time of treatment, provided the doctor sends in the records that ACE may require.
If the doctor/hospital sent the bills for your treatment directly to Administrative Concepts (claims processor), you still need to send in the claim form. Just indicate on the form that the payment needs to be paid directly to the doctor and not you. Because of the 6-8 week delay in reimbursement, however, some doctors or hospitals get nervous and may ask you to settle the bill. If you do this, be sure to update Administrative Concepts so that you are now refunded. It is a good idea to have claim forms with you whenever you go to the doctor. You can always give the form to a nurse so she can complete their part of it.
If you have further questions, contact Gabriella Pearse-Danker at pearse-danker.1@osu.edu or Becky Amburgey at The Harbour Group at becky@hginsurance.com. Make sure to mention that you are covered by the policy number GLM N01060636 and a participant of our program.
